MSF Basic RiderCourse (BRC)
The best place to start once you've made the commitment to learn to ride. The BRC covers the basics of operating a motorcycle and safety-oriented mental strategies. Motorcycles and helmets are provided for your use. If you have a DOT approved helmet you are welcome to bring that, unfortunately you cannot use your own motorcycle. Successful completion of this course, which consists of five hours of online MSF eCourse and eleven hours of riding instruction on the range, conducted over two sessions, plus its knowledge and skills evaluation tests, waives the license road test in your state. Completion of the course also earns you an insurance discount, typically 10-15% depending on your insurance company. Provide them with a copy of your MSF completion card.
1. Once registered, you will receive an email confirmation with step by step instructions on how to enroll in the online MSF eCourse
2. You must complete/pass this online MSF eCourse within 30 days prior of your riding sessions and submit a copy of your certificate to us via email before your riding sessions or bring a hard copy with you.
3. We cannot submit for your license without proof of completion
* There are two ways to obtain your motorcycle license. One is to take a certified Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Massachusetts Rider Education Program (MREP) approved course. The other is to take a road test administered by the Massachusetts RMV.
Our MSF Basic RiderCourse (BRC) is a Massachusetts Rider Education Program (MREP) approved motorcycle safety course.
Tuition for BRC is $385.00
